Leading banana producer embarks on communication refresh
In a bid to better connect with retailers and consumers, Turbana Corp., a leading importer of bananas, plantains, pineapples, ethnic tropicals and healthy snacks, has refreshed its brand message.
Coral Gables, Fla.-based Turbana’s new “Together, We Grow” tagline embodies how it works together – alongside its retail partners and shoppers – to create opportunities that empower people and transform lives.
“The communication refresh embodies who Turbana has evolved to as a company, and captures the power of what we do together with our partners and consumers,” explained Juan Alarcon, CEO of Turbana. “We truly believe that by working together, we make a difference and strive to create a better tomorrow,” Alarcon said, adding that its former “Goodness Inside” message achieved its goal of helping it “tell our foundational story and the goodness in our roots.”
The new communication, however, now serves to better demonstrate the positive impact that shoppers and retailers together have on communities with every purchase of Turbana products, by empowering them to bring to the forefront the opportunities Turbana creates for better housing, education and infrastructure in the farming regions where its produce is grown.
Further, its new “Together, We Grow” message also serves as a catalyst for retailers and shoppers to cultivate opportunities, together, to inspire active, healthy and sustainable lifestyles in their communities.
Additionally, the communication refresh highlights how Turbana works in partnership with retailers to grow their business by collaborating to create exciting in-store experiences and innovative programs that also make a positive impact on their local communities. Combined with educational materials, apps and other assets, retailers are given the tools they need to bring loyal, conscious shoppers to their stores.
“Together, We Grow” also aims to communicate to retailers that when partnering with Turbana, they can solve any challenge and harvest solutions that grow their business.
With increased demand from consumers for transparency, the refresh – which includes the launch of a new, responsive website – makes information more easily accessible to shoppers while enhancing the shopper experience with extended information about Turbana’s produce, farms and production processes.
“From the hands of the farmers to the hands of shoppers, Turbana and their retailers give consumers the transparency they call for,” Alarcon noted.
